Can I provide a discount to a customer which acts as an item refund?
Asked 3 years ago
Hi, I run an online jewelry store using Shopify. One of my customers purchased an item that does not suit them and therefore has returned it but has shown interest in purchasing a different item. Is it possible to use the refund of the first item sold as a discount for the item they would like to buy? Are there any Shopify tools that can set this process set as a rule? Thank you in advance

Providing a discount to customers is made simple using the Order to discount app. However, in your case, the refund item discount must be specified first, along with the customer data. You can use the discount template or the order value feature by setting a specific discount percentage according to the refundable amount. This way, the customers will get the discount once they make the next purchase.
