Shopify Email compared to Mailchimp/Klaviyo

Shopify Email is a good solution as a first email marketing tool. It is very easy to set up since the built in templates are well integrated with the data from your Shopify store (logos, products etc). If you are just starting with email marketing and you don't expect heavy use it is will be perfect. If you are looking for a robust email marketing platform with extensive automation, go for other email marketing platforms like mailchimp, Klaviyo or Omnisend.

As a free/low cost solution Shopify Email is fine, it is simple and easy to use. But since it doesn't include proper automation it fits only stores with small email marketing activity.

Is Shopify Email free?

Shopify Email is free to use until October 1, 2020. After that, you can still send a total of 2,500 emails per month for free. If you send more than 2,500 emails per month, you're charged $1 USD for every 1,000 emails sent.
