How can I manage out of stock products based on inventory cycles?

I track inventory cycles so that I can monitor the availability of the products in my Shopify store. How can I manage my out of stock products based on these inventory cycles?

If you are well aware of the inventory cycles of your specific product, you will know when the product will be in stock again. Hence, a better decision is to list the date or time you estimate when the product may emerge in the market again.
If the product has a higher demand, it is better to start pre-orders and increase the shipping time. This way, you can retain the sales and get enough time to restock. However, if the product is permanently out of the store, it is better to list it as unavailable and point out the other alternatives that customers can choose from.
