Is it beneficial to create a second Shopify store to use as an outlet?

Hey, I own an e-commerce clothing business. We currently have a Shopify store where we sell the majority of our products however we have some items in our warehouse which are low in stock but not selling. We would like to open an outlet version of our store to sell discounted version of products. Is it beneficial to open another store for this purpose and are there and tools which can make the management of discounted items on this Shopify outlet store easier?
