Why do our ads bring high traffic to our Shopify store but no sales?

We’re running ads on Facebook to promote our Shopify store. Why are we getting good results - comments, likes, shares and landing page views, but no sales?

If your ads are getting engagement on FB, that probably means that they are relevant to your audience (I wrote 'probably' because I don't have all the information). But comments and likes are not as important as landing page views because they represent how many people actually reach your store. For that reason make sure that you're running conversion campaigns. So, if you are getting traffic from the ads, then they are most likely not the issue. It's likely that there's some issue with your site, and there could be many reasons for that. I can't tell you what it is because I haven't seen your store or your numbers. The reason could be anything from user experience to technical bug. It's essential to make sure that user experience is good, all product images are high quality, texts are explicit, and there are no grammar mistakes. But that probably won't help. You have to follow a particular methodology or process to find what's holding back your sales: The first thing you need to do is to define your sales funnel. I.e., a customer clicks on an ad -> customer reaches your website -> customer clicks on a product -> customer clicks add to cart, etc. Add analytics software (Google Analytics, etc.) to measure your store performance, especially the sales funnel. Look at your numbers and ascertain on what step of the funnel users are leaving. This is where the problem is. Now, you can try to make changes to your website, but if you're still not sure what the problem is, you can use a session recording software to try to understand why users are abandoning. If you want to try a new solution, you better run an ab test to make sure you get conclusive results.

It is very strange because when I started running my own clothing business, it was thanks to advertising on social media that I started making good money. Maybe you attract an insolvent audience, and that's why they can only leave excellent reviews, but they don't buy anything. I think that if you seriously want to promote your product, then you need to hire a marketer. One experienced person will be enough. And I also advise all business people to read about forecasting saas revenue. I learned about this thing a year ago, and it helped me earn more by controlling losses.
