Facebook ads limits my daily spending to $50
Asked 4 years ago
Why is Facebook ads limiting my daily budget to $50? Tried changing the daily spending limit settings for my account but the $50 cap is still there

The ad spend limit will be removed if you can prove to Facebook that you are trustworthy. You need to run a few ads and make payments to Facebook, within the $50 limit. Once Facebook is sure that your bank card is legitimate and that you are not committing fraud, they will lift or increase the limit.

Facebook used to limit new accounts to $50 and gradually increase the limit when the account was used to make payments and run ads, but there is no mention of this in the current Facebook policies and I have not experienced this with my new Facebook Ads account.

It's just an initial way for them to protect themselves against fraud; by capping you at $50 per day for a while, they make sure you can't dump thousands into advertising that you aren't actually able to pay for. The reason I call this the “historical spending cap” is that it's the way Facebook used to work. Hope this helps.
