Do you pay a subscription fee to email clients with a Shopify domain?

I have been updating my marketing strategy for my Shopify store, and I want to build a solid email marketing strategy. I read how effective email marketing is for establishing leads and converting customers. Would I have to pay a fee to send emails to clients using a custom domain forwarding address? I'm looking for the most affordable marketing tools.

To send emails, you have to pay a subscription fee to Shopify. All merchants have 10000 emails free of cost every month, and any additional email costs you $0.001 per email. The unused emails from the previous month are not included in next month's count. On top of that, you are not charged for the additional emails until the cost reaches $0.005.
