It takes too much time to load. I want to know how to speed up my Shopify website and reduce the page load time.

When a page takes too long to load, customers will become less interested. They are used to quick loading times of around 3 seconds and being able to get the desired page as fast as possible.
There are a few reasons why a Shopify store is so slow. Some of these things are in your control, while others are not. You want to be sure to make any changes necessary so that the website is as fast to load as possible.
First of all, check all of your images to make sure that they are of high quality but also that they are the right size. The maximum image size is 4472 x 4472 pixels, however this does not mean that you should have every image in this size. When you have multiple large images on your Shopify store, this can slow down the loading time.
Another tip is to make sure that your site is not too 'content heavy'. Make sure that any blocks of text, images, banners e.c.t are necessary and not there just to fill space. When you have a streamlined website that contains relevant content, your site will load quicker.
If you have additional apps that change the functionality
or appearance of your Shopify store, you may find that you site loads slower. By disabling features of the apps that you do not use, or even removing the app altogether, you will speed up the loading time of your Shopify store. The same goes with themes. You can disable certain features that you do not use in order to speed up the site.
The font you choose also makes a difference to the loading speed. If you are using a downloaded font that is not available on the customer's device, it will take longer to load. You can avoid this by using a system font that is most likely available on most devices.
Unfortunately, there are factors that are out of your power when it comes to the loading speed of your Shopify store. For example, you cannot control the network or browsers of your customers and if they have a slow internet provider then most sites will load slowly for them. If a customer complains about the loading speed of your site, be sure to ask them if they have updated their browser and if they have the same issue with other sites.
