How do I improve my Shopify store with user testing?

Asked 5 years ago

I've heard of something called "hotjar" for Shopify and would like to know more about how I can use it to understand my customers better. Is it some kind of user testing forum?

Hotjar Shopify app is a usability testing tool with an easy setup and faster insights into user research. It offers a free trial and Hotjar discounts too. You can use this user testing forum in the following ways to study your customers better:

  1. Identify high-exit pages and usability issues like bugs.
  2. Discover high-performing elements and user interactions with important pages.
  3. Collect data from checkout pages by adding Hotjar on Shopify checkout pages.

Hotjar is a Shopify app that uses behaviour analytics software to help Shopify store owners understand what their customers are interacting (and not interacting) with on their store. You can use Hotjar to:

  • See what real users do on your site using the user testing screen record tool
  • Identify high-exit pages
  • Spot bugs
  • Gather feedback
  • And more

I don't understand how user testing works. Is it an extension of Shopify for the statistics tool as in instagram in author mode?

I can't plug the extensions into the browser on my phone, and after all, I only go into Shopify from my phone. Do you know how I can get around that? I'd like to try using this tool. I'm using an analytics upgrade from that my friend suggested. It does a great job of showing my customer turnover as well as my sales stats. Perhaps this find has promoted my store among other stores with similar merchandise. I like my current success. But if you suggest any other good expansion, please tell me its principle.
