Asked 4 years ago

If I integrate eBay or Amazon with my Shopify store, will I pay more fees and have less profit?

Integrating your Shopify store with other marketplaces may seem expensive, but it allows diversity, higher sales volume, and greater exposure. Sellers have reported a 120% increase in revenue from two marketplaces. Thus, do your maths, take calculated risks, strategize your online store and launch a multi-channel marketing campaign with Shopify.

If you want to integrate your Shopify with eBay or Amazon you have to pay for a 'stores' account (starting at $24.95 per month on eBay) or a 'professional seller' account ($39.99 per month on Amazon). Before being put off by account fees, remember the audience reach for sites such as eBay and Amazon.

You can certainly do business by connecting Shopify with eBay or Amazon. With a wider audience on these platforms, your business might boom with more consumer reach, and Shopify sellers have witnessed it. But if are willing to integrate Shopify with either eBay or Amazon you would have to pay a price. Considering a better exposure of your business, the fees shouldn't be an issue.
