How can customers reserve items on my Shopify store?

I would like for customers to reserve items in their cart on my Shopify store for up to 48 hours before the items return to inventory. Is there an app that can help with this?

I don't know of an app that can do this, but you can reserve items for customers by creating a draft order and selecting the option of reserving the products.
