How to get a good rate on DHL small parcel international shipping?

We've been using USPS but some parcels never reached their destination so we want to start shipping with DHL but their rates seem so expensive in comparison with USPS. Does anyone have experience with DHL and knows if there's a way to get good rates? Additionally, would the DHL business account rates be different to their flat rates for international shipping?

You can get significantly cheaper rates with a DHL business account than the prices you get on a retail account from Shopify. You'll have to contact their reps directly to open a business account. DHL has excellent service, and customers are pleased with them. But, if you want to bring prices down, you should also contact FedEx and UPS and negotiate with the three of them. You'll have to provide some information about your next 12 months' estimated shipments - how many shipments you plan, the weight and size of the parcels, to which countries you intend to ship, etc. Lastly, if you can concentrate on a specific weight tier, that could help you get even better rates.

The Dhl international shipping costs is €7 all over the world, with excellent customer service. If you want more discounts on Shopify DHL rates, get yourself a DHL business account. Moreover, by creating a DHL Express business account, you can get a 30% discount on your international business shipping.
