How to offer free local shipping and local pickup on shopify?

I would like to add a free shipping option on my store that would be available for clients in my local area. I currently refund my local clients when I can do the drop-off but would prefer to use an automated free local shipping feature. Is this possible? Is there a specific option for free local delivery on Shopify, and is there a specific delivery radius? I don't want to have to add free shipping for specific products if there's a simpler option on Shopify.

To set up local delivery, enable the local delivery option for each location that you offer delivery from.
You can set a delivery radius in your 'Shipping and Delivery' settings or enter a list of postal/zip codes that you want to offer free shipping to. Set the delivery price at '0' so eligible customers get free shipping.
