Dropshipped goods on Shopify?

So a friend reached out to me about potentially working on promoting a game called Wizardia that's about to launch. The thing is, they want me to essentially create a dropshipping store that outsources the t-shirts and design making (inspired from their existing collection). I'm curious if Shopify is still the top website to host this type of set-up? I've heard of people having problems with FB ads (which I need to run too) with dropshiping stores on Shopify. Anyone here has any experience on this?
