SSL certificates are automatically created and added to your Shopify store after your custom domain has been properly set up. Your store's URL will change from HTTP://yourdomain.com to HTTPS://yourdomain.com. SSL certificates enhance the security of your store and contribute to customers' trust.

It can take up to 48 hours before the SSL certificates are properly set up. During the setup time, a security error might be displayed on the browser when visiting your Shopify store and your Shopify admin might display an SSL Unavailable error. Note - the default settings for your Shopify store activates SSL certificates for your store's checkout pages, as well as for any hosted content on your .myshopify.com domain.
