How to legally use SMS to market my Shopify store?
Asked 5 years ago
I've looked at a few SMS marketing forums online but very few of them discuss the legal side of this issue. I want to create an effective SMS flow for my dropshipping store but not if I'm going to get flagged for spam or any other legal issues or anything. I've heard that it can be effective in your overall marketing strategy. That being said, what SMS messages and when is my business allowed to send to consumers?

It would be best if you go with text marketing. SMS marketing is working well for so many notable marketing giants, such as Gary Vaynerchuk.
You need to follow the CAN-SPAM TCPA act to avoid any illegal activity. Plus, you can hire a reliable marketing company to help you out with SMS flow dropshipping and make your job easier.

I would advise you not to cause yourself too much trouble.
I think you should think about what you need to do first and analyse each service. They have different policies and I think you're overdoing it. I think you should ask for help from a service called Testelium. You can use it to analyse each service visually and see the statistics.

I don’t think it’s a good idea because most people don’t read that, and they would also think you might have gotten their number from an illegal source or hacked a database.
This B2C strategy does not work anymore, even if it did some time ago. Cooperating with a real marketing agency like belkins.io might be more beneficial than finding all the customers. You need to make sure you generate enough leads and that those leads later go through the sales funnel. It is an arduous job, and you will definitely need a partner to achieve greater results in this domain.
