Affirm vs Afterpay for Shopify?

Asked 2 years ago

Hello Keepshoppers! I want to add a Buy Now, Pay Later app to my Shopify store and have heard about two popular apps: Affirm and Afterpay. Can anyone weigh up the pros and cons of the two apps? Which is best to use for Shopify from your experience? Thanks!

Affirm and Afterpay are both online apps that give you the option of buying now and paying later by splitting the payments.

Affirm:

Affirm lets you split your payment into installments over 3-36 months, with the interest rate ranging from 0-30%. At Affirm, no late payment fee is charged. This payment method is suitable for customers who want to spread their large payments over a long period. With Affirm, the merchants are paid within 1 to 3 business days.

Afterpay:

Afterpay allows the customers to split the installment into four equal parts over six weeks. The first payment is charged at the time of purchase. No interest is set to customers during the six weeks, but a late payment fee will be charged. With Afterpay, the merchants are only paid once the customer receives their order.

Final Verdict:

Both the payment apps provide considerable advantages. Afterpay is best for small purchases, whereas Affirm is suitable for large purchases.

Whether you are a new entrepreneur or an old one, Keepshoppers has got your back with all the resources you need to excel in your e-commerce venture.
