How do I create and send a discount coupon to new subscribers?

Paying attention to one customer's journey as a Shopify store owner is essential. I learned this through the research that I have been doing for my online store. I want to be able to create and send out emails with discounts for my new customers and subscribers that fill out the email signup forms. I don't know how to do this yet, though.

You can send specific discount code emails to your newsletter subscribers through Shopify's Marketing Tab. The steps to create email automation are as follows:
Click "Marketing" on your Shopify admin page.
Now click "Automations" and then "Create Automation."
Click "Custom Email Automation."
Now create the email template with the discount code, and you are ready to go.
Remember, these emails will reach every subscriber linked with your newsletter. Make a specific customer segment to keep the discount coupon restricted to new subscribers. You can do it through the "Customers" tab in the left panel. Besides that, add specific customer segments while creating the segment code. By doing this, the coupon would be no good for an old customer.
Pro Tip: If this process sounds complicated, you can use a third-party app like "Order To Discount" by Egnition.
