Why can't I connect my Shopify store to my Facebook business page?

I have been trying to connect my Shopify store to my Facebook business page, with no success. Every time I manage to connect my Shopify to my Facebook page, it disconnects again and I am not sure why this keeps happening. 
I tried to do it again today and received a message from Facebook stating that I need to be the admin of the page, however, I am already the admin of the page. Has anyone else had this problem?

I would recommend that you first go to the Facebook page and check the settings for the Page Roles of the page. I know that Facebook sometimes alters the permissions of the Page Roles. 
When you are in the Page Roles section, you will then need to ensure that you are marked as the Owner and Admin of the page.

Since you're having trouble adding your Shopify link to your Facebook business page, you may have to start from scratch, but first and foremost, check whether you're using a valid email ID for your Facebook account. If that's fine, then move on to the next step. Here, you might have to remove the Facebook distribution platform entirely. This is managed by switching to settings and then clicking the sales channel. After that, click on the garbage button to have your Facebook channel removed.
Following that, you must be certain that your Facebook page is a business page and not a personal or blog page. If you're the page's administrator, you can use the Facebook channel to promote your products as usual.
