Is it good or bad to use an On-Page SEO app?
Asked 4 years ago
I have been using SEO Manager for all of my sites for a while now and I have had no issues with performance or speed on any of my sites.
The only thing that I don't like about SEO Manager is the 301 redirect suggestions. I feel that the pages should be redirected to the collections, rather than to the home page.

Yes, using an On-page SEO app can be a good idea. The main reasons why you should use on-page SEO apps are:
Ensures higher ranking of a page since the optimization process is continuous
Ensures up-to-date keyword rankings with greater accuracy
Even with the vast SEO experts and agencies, the process remains manual that may affect the efficiency of the overall optimization
Cost-effective and less time consuming than if it were done by an individual; since a great number of on-page SEO apps are mostly available for free and are automateautomatedd
But if you have to consider your options, some cons of using On-Page SEO apps are:
Might create ineffective backlinks when not used properly
Since it is an automated process, it can affect organic traffic on the site
On-page apps follow a quantity over quality basis and can affect the overall quality of the page

Overall, it is your choice whether you decide to use an On-Page SEO app. When you use an app it does the majority of the work for you so can save you a lot of time, especially if you are unsure of how to do SEO on your own.
On-Page SEO is a great way to get your sites noticed on search engines as many SEO practices require making timely changes to your site. Here are a few more reasons why On-Page SEO apps are useful for websites:
- The SEO process with an app will be continuous and ongoing, you do not have to worry about making changes yourself.
- As you do not have to make the changes yourself, you can focus on running the business rather than improving your SEO.
- The app will check for SEO issues rather than you having to search for them yourself.
- The SEO Manager app also shows you useful analytics you may not have access to otherwise.
If you are someone who would like to save time and have an app help you with your SEO, then you could say that they are 'good' rather than 'bad'. If you have had no issues with your current On-Page SEO app then you should look at the pros to see if they outweigh the cons.
If the 301 redirect suggestions are the only aspect of the app that you do not like then is it worth changing apps? You could search around to see if there is another app that has better suggestions for you.

On-page SEO apps save your time by:
- Keeping the SEO errors in check.
- Applying continual needed changes.
- Keeping you updated with helpful analytics.
So yes! It is good to use an on-page SEO app. If you face issues with 301 redirect suggestions with your previous manager, why not give an alternative SEO app a chance?

On Page SEO apps are certainly easy to use and save a lot of your time. If you write an evergreen article, SEO apps find your SEO mistakes easily and help you rectify mistakes. Even if an article is a few months old, the SEO app can make required new changes to rank better. And if you are having 301 redirect suggestions, you can look for a different SEO app.

SEO is of two types. On page SEO & Off page SEO. Whatever activities we do on our website to make our website SEO optimized are called On page SEO activities. On the other side, Off page SEO activities are any kind of activities that we do outside our website to rank our website better on Search engine rankings. Since you are interested in On page SEO.These are the ones which are included in On-page SEO
1) Usage of Active voice 2) Usage of sub headings 3) H1 tag usage 4) No duplication of H1 tag 5) Meta title 6) Meta description 7) Indexing of pages 8) Using Image Alt tags
