Do I need to purchase an SSL certificate for my Shopify store website?

I originally thought that an SSL certificate would already be integrated into my Shopify store, but I can't seem to select that option. Should I purchase a new SSL certificate for my Shopify store from GoDaddy or Namecheap? Also, what is the cost of a Shopify SSL?

As soon as your Shopify store has a custom domain, it will automatically add an SSL certificate. It is possible the store is SSL pending as it can take 48 hours for the process to fully complete.
If you have a Shopify SSL pending, do not buy another on Namecheap or GoDaddy as it should automatically appear.
