What programs do you use for editing promotional videos?

Asked 4 years ago

I want to create a promotional video advert for my products.

What app or program should I use to edit the videos?

Inshot for phone, its free! final cut pro x WeVideo. It’s super easy to use. But need to pay 4.99 mo. It’s seems fair to me.

There are quite a few out there that you can utilize:

Invideo Animotica Magix Video Deluxe Pro Movie maker iMovie or Camtasia Hit film

My favourite one is Resolve, there is a paid and a free version, the free version does the job just as well as the paid version.

What makes this application so good is that it's on par with Adobe Premier, a lot of filmmakers use this as well and you can literally tweak everything while maintaining great quality. You will need to go through a couple of tutorials to learn how to use it but once you've got it you'll love it.

When choosing what editing programme to use, you want to consider your level of experience with editing. If you are fairly new to editing promotional videos then you may want to choose a free programme or use a free trial to see which one you like the best. They vary in terms of layout and features so before you make any payments, you want to be sure that the programme is right for you.

You will also want to think about your options in terms of what device you have. For example, 'iMovie' comes as a pre-downloaded software on Apple Macbooks that can be great for beginners looking to improve their editing skills. As a paid option you can download 'Final Cut Pro X' which is $299.99 but includes all sorts of extra features and effects. You can try Final Cut Pro on a free trial before you make the investment too.

If you do not have an Apple Macbook, you may want to consider an Adobe App such as 'Adobe Premiere Pro'. This, however, would be an investment as there is both a monthly 'Creative Cloud' subscription fee which is $20.99 per month with an annual plan, or $31.49 per month on a month-by-month basis and the full year's subscription which if paid upfront costs $239.88.

There are also many free options that do the job for promotional videos, without having to invest in expensive software. Software such as 'Blender', 'Lightworks', and 'Shotcut' are all free and contain features that will make a great promotional video. Make sure that you take the time to get familiar with your chosen software and you'll be making high-quality videos in no time!

If you are a new business owner or a video-maker for one, there a few softwares/apps you should remember before starting. The best ones to use for video editing would be:

Headliner: helps edit and make videos with captions

Quik by GoPro: simple, accessible, and multiple features included

Adobe Premiere Clip: mobile editing app, easy customization, enables multimedia

FilmoraGo: a comprehensive app with speed control, various editing options and available for free

If you are new in the business sphere and plan on presenting your products on a social platform, the first thing is promotion. In the digital world, promotional videos are the way to go, and the various apps with multiple features that are available make the process of advertising and promotion easy for any business owner.
