Is personalized pricing illegal?
Asked 3 years ago
When I looked into the personalized pricing trend, I saw that it was based on each individual's willingness to pay. While this sounds great, I am concerned that the personal pricing strategy violates any discrimination laws or equal treatment.

According to competition law, personalized pricing is a little controversial. Regulators and authorities are mostly unaware of personalized pricing. It could be construed as an effort to charge more money to customers or change the market in other ways. However, there's no specific case law or imminent changes to the antitrust law that deal with it. So, it is not illegal by default.
