Here's an example of a competitive pricing strategy taking two of the most successful mobile phone brands:

Apple released its iPhone 12 and 12 pro series in October 2020, while Samsung introduced its S21 and S21+ series in January 2021. Since Samsung released it later, it benefitted from a competitive pricing strategy. Hence it kept S21 and S21+ prices slightly lower than iPhone 12 and 12 pro series.

In contrast, Samsung was more confident of the S21 ULTRA, so it chose to keep its price comparatively higher than the iPhones Pro Max series.
