Should I open a single-product store or niche store?

I'm not sure how specific I should be with my item choices. Which type of store has a higher success rate and what would you recommend I do?

There are pros and cons to both single-product stores and niche stores. If you have found a need for a specific niche and done your research then you can be specific in your products. Think about who your customers are and what they are looking to buy in order to make your choice.
