Never heard of it, could you tell us some more?

I decided to try this new feature because it seems to be cool and the 3D modelling are not expensive. I am testing it with some of my products to see how it affects the conversion rates. The results are not great so far but I am still giving it a chance. Will keep you guys updated.

I am using the AR feature. Uploaded my 3D models and my theme supports it (Impulse by Archetype). Not all themes would support AR without some coding

Interesting. How does it work and what should I expect to see?

The general idea is to use a 3D model which you can view from different sides (3D visualization) and display it in a real-world environment (Augmented reality). For example - display a piece of furniture in your living room or a piece of jewelry on your wrist. You'll usually need a compatible cell phone/tablet to display AR.

Sounds awesome. How can I get a 3D model of my product?

You'll need the help of a 3D modeller...

So I guess I'll have to find one

It is a new tool on Shopify. Let's you upload your 3D models and add AR on your Shopify shop. Some of the templates support this feature with no coding needed, others require some coding work.

Not expensive? could you share with us the cost of the 3D modelling you did?

I don't remember the price. Just that it made sense to give it a try with some of our products.

From what I've checked you can get basic 3D models for about 100$
