Can I extend my Shopify free trial period?
Asked 6 years ago
I would like to extend the free trial for my Shopify account since I didn't really use it. Is it possible? What happens to my Shopify store when the free trial period ends? Is it true that Shopify offers a 90-day free trial due to the COVID-19 situation?

Shopify lets you sign up for a free 14-day trial that begins when you first sign up. If you don't select a monthly plan at the end of your free trial, then your store will be paused and you will not be able to continue working on it until you choose a paid plan. You can contact Shopify (email/live chat) and ask to extend the free trial period. They usually grant a 7 days extension. Another option would be to sign up for a new account and start a 14-day trial. It would be the easiest solution if you didn't invest a lot of work on customizing your existing Shopify store.
