How to upload videos to product pages on my Shopify store?

I am trying to insert a video on a product page on my Shopify store. Having problems with the 'embed code'. Do I have to embed a YouTube video to Shopify, or does it have to be a specific video format like MP4? Can anyone help?

Adding an embedded video to a product page on Shopify is simple. Go to youtube and open your desired video. At the bottom of the video, you will find the 'share' button,  click on it and select the 'embed' code. Copy this code, then open your Shopify product page and select the area in the description where you want your video to go. Next, select the camera icon. A pop-up window will open and you simply paste the embedded code and save it.﻿

To upload videos to the Shopify product page, you need to copy the embedded code of your YouTube video.
Here are the steps:
Upload your video on youtube (if it is not already there).
Click on ‘Share’ you’ll see the Embed link option.
Copy the embed code and paste it on your Shopify product page to create an embedded YouTube video Shopify.
