How do I turn off international shipping for my Shopify store?

Asked 4 years ago

How can I disable international shipping on my Shopify store? I want to restrict shipping to the USA only and not ship to any other countries. Is there a way on Shopify to do this? I can't seem to find any way to set up specific shipping zones on Shopify.

Yes, Shopify gives you complete control over the countries and their states or provinces you ship to (or choose not to ship to).

To disable international shipping on Shopify, follow these simple steps:

  1. Log in to Shopify with your username and password.
  2. Go to "Settings" on the Shopify admin dashboard.
  3. Click "Shipping."
  4. Next, click "Manage Rates."
  5. Click the three dots on the right side of "International."
  6. Finally, click "Delete."

By following this process, only domestic customers can order from your store. You can add international shipping again later if you want.

There is also the possibility of blocking shipping to specific countries. Follow these steps to restrict shipping to certain countries:

  1. Follow steps 1 to 5 above.
  2. Click "Edit Zone."
  3. Select all the countries and states you want to ship your product to. This way, you can even restrict shipping to certain US states if you wish.

Remember that you won't be able to ship to all other countries until you manually add them back.

Just set your Shipping Zone to USA only. Clients will have to have a US shipping address to be able to make a purchase on your Shopify store. To set up your shipping zone from your Shopify admin go to Settings > Shipping and delivery. Then click Manage rates. You can add, edit or delete shipping zones as you wish. If you want to make sure that it is properly set up, add an item to your cart and proceed to checkout. You should see the US as the only option on the country selection.
