Changing the order ID format on Shopify

You can edit the order ID format on Shopify by adding a prefix or suffix to customize order numbers. Do this by going to 'Settings', then 'General'. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find 'Edit Order ID Format'. The numbers for your orders will not change but will be customized to your store.

Adding a prefix or suffix to your order IDs means that you can add something to the start or end (or both) of your order IDs. For example, to make the order numbers look more unified you may want to add a '#' as a prefix then '-ST' as a suffix to represent 'Shopify Store'.

Adding these may be useful if you have multiple stores, or if you would like your order numbers to be more recognisable from your store.
