Password protecting product prices on Shopify

Looking for the best way to password protect the prices and collections of products on my Shopify store. I would like to hide product prices and make them only available to signed-in users. How do you guys feel about the locksmith app for Shopify? I've heard good things from friends but it's a paid app and I would prefer a free alternative.
